Intel Forges Own SSD Destiny
Posted on Sep 8, 08 10:31 AM PDT

If you want something done, you gotta do it yourself - or so that's what Intel thinks. The giant semiconductor company has made its debut in the SSD market with an 80GB SSD that is priced at a relatively expensive $595. This new model will come in 1.8" or 2.5" sizes that are denoted by the X18-M and X25-M model names. There is no official data available for performance numbers, so hopefully Intel's SSDs won't disappoint as how their integrated graphics chipset are practically useless when it comes to playing the latest games.
