Microsoft BlueTrack Mouse Launched

Microsoft has just rolled out its first BlueTrack mouse, and I am pretty sure that this won't be the last. Available in Explorer and Explorer Mini (that caters for notebook users) sizes, this mouse utilizes a blue light and optical sensor in order to generate a larger, starker relief of the mousing surface compared to standard red-light optical or laser. Hmmm, guess the guys touting blue lasers in Blu-ray technology weren't kidding, eh? Anyways, I digress. The BlueTrack mice will come with five buttons, where the Explorer relies on a lithium-ion pack and juices up via a charging cradle whereas the more portable Explorer mini is powered by two AA batteries and comes with a mini USB receiver that resides comfortably in its base when traveling. The Explorer and Explorer Mini will retail for $100 and $80, respectively this November.
