Microsoft Explores Mobile Device Collaboration
Posted on Sep 23, 08 10:08 AM PDT

Microsoft is currently thinking about rolling out a module-based device in its patent application known as "mobile device collaboration". This phone hardware and software combination will feature integrated “proximity detection”, “synchronizer ” and “resource coordinator” modules. Whenever you bring similar handsets close together, they will form a single computing module and function as a single device, sharing all their resources - pretty much like those Constructicons or Dinobots of Transformers fame. Some of the possible scenarios explored by Microsoft include :-
- Video Display Aggregation
- CPU/Memory Aggregation
- Storage Aggregation
- Battery Aggregation
- Radio/Antenna Aggregation
- Multiple microphone Aggregation
- Speaker Aggregation
- Camera Aggregation
- Keypad Aggregation
