Overview Surveillance System For Volvo Truckers
Posted on Sep 24, 08 06:21 PM PDT

Japan isn't the only country with vehicles that help drivers see what's going on around them, as Swedish vehicle manufacturer Volvo is offering an Overview Surveillance System in conjunction with Toshiba, enabling drivers to view their vehicle as well as its surroundings from above. Perfect for those who want to park in a tight spot but lack the confidence to do so, while driving through narrow and slow speed situations are made easier to prevent scratches onto other people's paintwork. Fisheye cameras are mounted on each side of the vehicle, and the electronic eye system will merge all four images into one that looks down from above. Truck drivers are an excellent lot when it comes to judging space, but with the Overview Surveillance System, their job is made all the more easier.
