Stimuli 3.0 Lighting System

Don't you hate it when you're working in bright light on a pet project of yours, but when dusk falls, the same amount of light that you want isn't available any more, forcing you to take a break and wait for the next day? Designer David Ngo calls the Stimuli 3.0 "a lighting system whose shape and therefore light output sensitively varies inversely with the surrounding natural light intensity. For example, at dusk, illumination gradually increases as natural light recedes. At the heart of this device is a unique 3 axis gear box which enables this subtle alteration of lighting through an attractive and striking change in form of the device.” Too bad this is but a concept that will probably not see the light (pardon the pun) of day.
