Well, the USB Multi-Cellular Phone Charger tries to toy with the idea in a paradigm shift - offering various plug endings in a single piece of plastic insead. For $18, you can juice up just about any handset from Motorola, Sony Ericsson and Nokia among others. Definitely handy if you're a frequent traveler with a group who carries different brand handsets.
