Acer Outships Them All

While shipment figures aren't exactly gospel for the amount sold, but they still hold a pretty important place where data is concerned as one will know just how far a product has penetrated the market. Take notebooks for example, Acer has gone about doing its job so well quietly, that it managed to come up tops when it comes to total number of notebooks (including netbooks) shipped for the month of September. The grand figure? A cool 3.4 to 3.6 million notebooks and netbooks, edging out both HP as well as Dell that max out at 2.7 million and 1.9 million units, respectively. Guess the Aspire One won the beautiful netbook model this time around, but competition is definitely keen so that a change of baton the next time round would not be unexpected.
