Imovio Releases Super Small Netbook

Somebody had better do something before hardware manufacturers get obsessed by picking up “smallest” accolades without retaining functionality. Just when you thought that netbooks were the smallest common denominator, along comes Imovio and their 2.8″ sub-netbook known as the iKIT. The iKIT is meant to be available via wireless carriers and targets a secondary role after notebooks and handsets, since it does not come with a cellular radio or voice features. Other specifications of the iKIT include :-

  • 2.8″ display
  • 64MB RAM
  • QWERTY keyboard
  • Wi-Fi connectivity
  • 0.3 megapixel webcam
  • One USB 2.0 port
  • SD memory card slot
  • Bluetooth support

This Linux-powered device will be pre-loaded with productivity applications as well as instant messaging, a media player, Opera Mini and a contact manager.
