Sony and Universal have teamed up to develop POP - a self-proclaimed "instant entertainment 24/7" vending machine that will be arriving on UK shores this holiday season. Unlike other machines that have media players on offer, this one provides the content to keep you entertained on the go, assuming you failed to refill your iPod with new songs right before that trans-continental flight. All content can be downloaded directly onto a memory card, USB flash drive, portable media player or other (USB-supporting) portable device. In addition, you also have the choice of picking up media-based content on DVD and Blu-ray discs, while games are also available to combat boredom.
