iPod Listening Pedestrians A Danger
Posted on Oct 9, 08 05:26 PM PDT

An insurance company recently noted that 10% of all minor accidents are due to pedestrians wearing headphones, and with headphone technology getting better and better at isolating sound while increasing volume levels, the 10% figure doesn't look likely to drop anytime soon. No idea if anyone has bought the farm just yet because he/she failed missed out on an incoming honk of a truck, but let's just keep our fingers crossed that this doesn't happen. If you want to go outside with your headphones on, why not get a pair that doesn't cut you off from the outside world?
