Navistar Goes For Hybrid Trucks

The rising prices of fuel before the current economic slowdown proved to be a rollercoast ride, hitting new highs nearly every day until common sense and free market forces kicked in to stabilize things. While prices are more or less stable at the moment, the impact has already occured and damage done. Navistar aims to ease the cost of operation and transport for companies by releasing the new International DuraStar Hybrid tractor that offers fuel savings of up to 25% when it comes to standard in-city pickup and delivery applications. Saving you money is not the only item on the agenda as Navistar also wants to do their part in helping nature remain clean, emitting up to 33% less hydrocarbon emissions and 35% less nitrogen oxide emissions compared to standard diesel trucks.
