Panasonic 3D Sensor Works Even In Regular Light

Panasonic has a spanking new 3D sensor that is able to function nicely in regular light where normal sensors fail to do so. The latter can only detect the amount of reflected light, virtually making them useless under bright conditions, so Panasonic has reversed this situation with their 3D sensor that can tell the difference in electrical chargers between ambient and reflected light. This is also the first time I’ve heard of something like it, as the great outdoors was previously off-limits when it comes to 3D sensors. Chances are production models of the 3D sensor will be split between two models, where one of them focuses on speed/distance while the other has a much more limited coverage of 3.9 feet compared to 4.9 feet. No word on when devices containing this 3D sensor will be available, but next year would be a pretty good bet.
