Sony PlayStation Store For The PSP Revealed
Posted on Oct 9, 08 11:55 PM PDT

Sony has unveiled a couple of new extensions for the PSP which will see the portable gaming machine extend its range of functionality over the Internet. This move will allow the PSP to access the PlayStation Store directly via Wi-Fi instead of relying on a PC or PS3 as a middle party. The interface will take a page out of the PS3 store's book, supporting game and content downloads straight onto a Memory Stick so that one does not need to tote around UMDs and suffer longer loading times as a result. No word on when users will be able to access movies and other non-gaming content, but word has it more network services for the PSP will be made available before the year is over.
