UAE Goes For Biggest LED Display
Posted on Oct 8, 08 08:01 PM PDT

Oil, just like undertakers, are needed no matter what kind of economic climate it is - which explains why oil rich gulf states like the UAE can still continue spending frivolously no matter what the economic climate is like. Case in point - this giant LED display that will be placed across the face of a whole building. Known as Podium, it will be the largest LED display to be embedded onto a commercial tower, spanning 33 storeys high with images on it being viewable for up to 1.5km. With Dubai being part of the desert and all, it would be nice to see solar panels erected to help power this thing, or else the city council will have a pretty huge electricity bill each month!
