VIA Pico-ITXe Stackable Board
Posted on Oct 29, 08 12:50 PM PDT
You probably are already familiar with VIA Technologies, as you’ve probably come across quite a few motherboards that have chipsets made by them. VIA have just announced the VIA EPIA-P710, which is the world’s first single board computer based on the new Pico-ITXe specification. The stand out feature of this (as stated in the video) is obviously the ability to stack up to four customizable I/O expansion modules, thanks to the 2 SUMIT (Stackable Unified Module Interconnect Technology) connectors on the board. If you’re interested on how you’ll be able to stack these boards together, take a peek at the video here, as it’s really easy to understand once you’ve seen it. The full press release can be found here.
