Apple Fixes Trackpad Issue With Software Update
Posted on Nov 17, 08 04:54 PM PDT

Apple has rolled out a software update that will fix whatever issues there are concerning the glass trackpad on its new MacBooks and MacBook Pros which were recently released later this year. According to Apple, "This firmware update addresses an issue where trackpad clicks may not be recognized on MacBook (13-inch, Aluminum, Late 2008) and MacBook Pro (15-inch, Late 2008) computers." If you're one of the afflicted, you can download and install the update via the Software Update mechanism that comes with Mac OS X, or you can always do it manually by taking a two-part route - download the firmware update on your hard drive and running it to update the trackpad's firmware.
