Apple Head-Tracking Eyewear Patent Applied
Posted on Nov 7, 08 08:52 AM PDT
Apple could come up with something interesting for the future by applying for a patent for an "automatically adjusting media display in a personal display system." This is somewhat a head-tracking eyewear which offers the user the feeling of being in a theater. As the wearer moves his/her head, the built-in gyroscope and accelerometer in the goggles will adjust the media file crop, making the user feel as though he/she is sitting in the theater. There will be plans to further reduce eyestrain, while it is also able to determine whether the user has reached the "edge" of the media file or not, and zoom in and out.
