You may be out in the wilderness and need to rock out to your favorite jams, or you could have a valid emergency. Either way this new emergency radio from Eton can help you out. The FR500 fills multiple roles, it is an AM/FM/Shortwave Radio with NOAA weatherband, a flashlight, Emergency Siren and Cell Phone charger. The source of power is a hand crank or solar power through a line of solar cells on top of the unit. In this day and age you can never be too prepared, multifunction units like this that don't require you to plug into the grid or use batteries could save you in a dire situation.
