Honda Experimental Walking Assist Device
Posted on Nov 7, 08 08:48 AM PDT

We all know just how well the Honda Asimo can walk, but here is a device that works with humans and not just on robots. The experimental walking assist device will help support bodyweight while reducing the load on a user's legs when walking, going up or down stairs as well as those who have to enter a semi-crouching position at times. Honda has started to test the device in real world conditions to evaluate whether it is as effective as intended. Guys will probably balk at wearing it since the family jewels look dangerously overexposed - will a fall result in a sudden and sharp pain? Some of the features include :-
- Convenient sitting-type device
- Assists bodyweight support
- Natural control of the assisting force
