Posted on Nov 17, 08 01:55 AM PDT

iPhone owners will be able to be even more productive on the road from next year onwards as Microsoft is working on a Microsoft Office web-based application that will be accessible as long as you're using Internet Explorer, Firefox and even mobile Safari on the iPhone. There won't be any need for stealthy jailbreaks, add-ons or special applications required to run this new web program, but other than that reassurance, very little else is known about this version of Microsoft Office. Will the Android platform get something similar?
