Netgear has just rolled out its new HDXB111 Powerline adapter that comes with a pass-through power socket, which makes for a handy solution in homes where there is a limited amount of power outlets to play with. Apart from that, the UPA-based Powerline HD also boasts network connections up to 200Mbps over existing electrical wires, bringing high speed Internet and high definition content streaming as long as you're within the vicinity of a power outlet. The Powerline HD Plus Ethernet Adapter Kit will come with a couple of Powerline HD Ethernet Adapters (HDXB111), and each of these have a single 10/100 Ethernet port. The price to pay would be $170, although those who want the Powerline AV Ethernet Adapter Kit which misses out on the pass-though power socket will cost $20 less.
