Nokia 6260 Slide Unveiled

Nokia has a brand new slider handset powered by the Series 40 operating system - the Nokia 6260 Slide. Some of the specifications on the Nokia 6260 Slide include :-

• 2.4" display at 320 x 480 resolution
• Quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity
• Tri-band UMTS connectivity
• 360° navi-key
• microSD memory card slot
• 5 megapixel Carl Zeiss camera with flash
• Assisted GPS
• Wi-Fi connectivity

All the above might sound rather rudimentary in this day and age, but bear in mind that this 15.4mm thin slider is powered by the Series 40 platform, making it a first of its kind for the mass market. The Nokia 6260 Slide will ship early next year for €299 or so before taxes and carrier subsidies. [Press Release]
