Vuzix Invades Europe With AV310 And AV230XL

Vuzix is a well known name when it comes to video eyewear, and this time they have made inroads into Europe with two new releases - the AV310 and the AV230XL. Both are worn just like a pair of glasses, and for obvious reasons, should be used only when you're seated at home. It is the first video headset of its kind that boasts a full 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio, with the AV310 offering the equivalent of a 52" display while the AV230XL offers a much smaller 44" display experience when worn. The latter will rely on OLED technology for a brighter display that consumes less juice, hence making it last longer per charge. Both models are powered by a single AA battery, and are able to last from 5 to 7 hours of non-stop video playback, making them suitable for long haul flights. The AV230XL and AV310 will retail for £129.99 and £149.99, respectively.
