ABIT Ceases Operation By 2008
Posted on Dec 19, 08 07:23 AM PDT

ABIT will stop operating on December 31st this year, which is a pretty sad ocassion considering the company did ride through boom times during the early 1990s when they rolled out quality motherboards that were the domain of overclocking enthusiasts. Some of the components on offer include Softmenu jumperless technology which enable CPU configurations to be changed via the BIOS itself. This development has led to the integration of a chip onto ABIT motherboards that allowed tweaks to be made without shutting down the operating system. RIP ABIT, we'll miss you.
