AquaTune Waterproof Speaker Cases For iPods
Posted on Dec 23, 08 05:51 PM PDT

AquaTune has a couple of new waterproof speaker enclosures for the masses - the AquaTune v2 and AquaTune nano 4G which rely on clear, polycarbonate bodies with O-ring seals to help prevent your precious iPod from drowning when submerged at up to 1 meter for half an hour. Any deeper or longer than that, your iPod will be in trouble. The larger AquaTune v2 works with Apple's fourth and fifth generation iPods, first through fourth-gen iPod nanos, iPod classic, first and second-gen iPod shuffle and the iPod mini (although you'll need a spacer for that). The use of a flexible membrane made of silicon rubber enables users to operate the iPod's Click Wheel in a jiffy, while you also benefit from a waterproof stereo input jack. The AquaTune v2 and AquaTune nano 4G will retail for $175 and $120, respectively.
