AT&T Offers iPhone 3G Home Activation
Posted on Dec 11, 08 08:12 AM PDT

Finally, AT&T will be offering home activation for real. All you need to do is purchase the phone online, receive it at the intended address (the home's a much better place compared to the office, trust us), and activate the handset via iTunes right in front of your home PC. This isn't a blanket condition though, since only new accounts and new line activations need apply. Those who want to upgrade from where they are at the moment will still have to make that ardous trip down to a store. Guess it won't really matter too much since anyone who has their heart set on the iPhone 3G will still get it no matter what, but this does make things a whole lot more convenient for everyone.
