Blackberry Curve With WiFi Available on AT&T
Posted on Dec 16, 08 04:30 PM PDT

AT&T customers will finally have access to the BlackBerry Curve with WIFI (that's model 8320). This phone was widely available and successful at T-Mobile. Of course, WIFI also means "no GPS" on this particular model, so keep that in mind. This phone is a great little communicator and is noticeably lighter than a many smartphones. Unfortunately, AT&T does not support the BlackBerry Curve best feature: UMA or Unlicensed Mobile Access, which is the ability to connect to the carrier's network via WIFI. UMA has two benefits: it guarantees a great reception when WIFI is available (bad GSM reception at home? no problem). It can also save money. For an additional fee, T-mobile allows unlimited UMA calls (T-mobile hotspot @ home) - it works outside of the country too!
So AT&T, what are you waiting for? UMA is cool.
