EMTEC To Sell Gdium For $400
Posted on Dec 31, 08 12:52 AM PDT

EMTEC has priced its Gdium netbook at $400 as the company prepares to show it off at CES next week, followed by a US release shortly thereafter. The Gdium's main selling point is its unusual storage system that does not rely on a hard drive or solid sate disk, instead it will work with a removable G-Key which is in essence, an 8GB or 16GB removable USB flash drive that stores the operating system, files and programs. The whole idea behind this is to carry your G-Key around with you anywhere and everywhere to plug into another Gdium when you need to access data within. They'd best have a great way to make backups of the G-Key, otherwise losing one would be extremely traumatic for anyone.
