Holux has just rolled out its GPS Tracker 005 that surely looks handsome on your wrist, never mind the fact that it might not even be able to tell the current time. What the Holux GPS Tracker 005 offers, however, is real-time tracking that not only logs where you have been all day long, it even comes with its own SIM card that enables it to transmit the current location via SMS or other compatible channels. Satellite fix times are improved thanks to the ability to download ephemeris data from the server over the Internet, placing this virtually on par with A-GPS although the data on this will have to be downloaded manually weekly. The Holux GPS Tracker 005 is powered by a rechargeable Li-Ion battery, running for up to 60 hours tops before requiring a recharge. Nice to know this puppy is water resistant, as that surely is one less worry when you're outdoors and the heavens open.
