Honda Unleashes Monster Asimo Robot
Posted on Dec 19, 08 09:22 AM PDT

Honda has thrown caution to the wind by celebrating its 50th anniversary of doing business in the US by unveiling a 49-foot tall replica of the Asimo robot. This creation will function as Honda's float at the Rose Parade in Pasadena, California on New Year's Day, complete with a jolly top hat and pimp-bot cane for added effect. This float has been dubbed 'Hats Off in Celebration' - too bad he won't be able to move about and chat with the masses just like how the ordinary Asimo does. Look at it reminds us of the Marshmallow Man in Ghostbusters, and at least Honda has decided to animate its arms - never mind if it can't walk (and make a Godzilla-like entrance to the parade).
