Hybrid Solar Light Goes Green
Posted on Dec 10, 08 08:55 AM PDT

Most flashlights at home rely on battery power to light up your way during times of emergencies, although wind-up flashlights have become more and more popular in the past few years as one no longer needs to keep spare batteries lying around. With the Hybrid Solar Light flashlight, this puppy comes with a solar panel that converts solar energy into battery power, and it claims to be able to store this energy for up to three whole years! The output isn't anything to shout about at 40 lumens, but at least it is bright enough for the most basic of search functions (i.e. under the couch), and is water-resistant up to 80 feet.
