NES Keyless Entry System Hack
Posted on Dec 8, 08 10:24 AM PDT
The resident genius has turned this humble NES controller into a Keyless Entry System. The controller itself snakes from a wall-mounted Arduino, where the quick entry of the famous Konami code will will lock/unlock the door using a CD-ROM ejection mechanism that will push or pull the lock correspondingly. Failed entries will be marked by a mugshot - not exactly the most subtle of devices, but it ranks pretty high up there where geekiness is involved. Take note, this is not meant to be a home security system replacement by any means!
