Next Mac Mini and iMac to use NVIDIA's integrated GPU
Posted on Dec 19, 08 03:06 PM PDT

While having fun joy of scraping system files, a member of InsanelyMac's forum has found that the upcoming iMac and Mac Mini will use NVIDIA's integrated GPU already found in the new Macbook Unibody. It's a great conformation for those waiting, but it's not a surprise at all as Apple not only want to make their products more capable, they also want to leverage the past development that was put into using the GPU for video-decode or graphics drivers. Leverage of unreleased code is also at stake with SnowLeopard (the next Mac OS, launch info) heavily taking advantage of the GPU to perform non-graphic tasks like, may be, video or audio compression .
