Qualcomm Netbook Powered by Snapdragon Chipset

Qualcomm has its own idea of a netbook that will be powered by its very own Snapdragon chipset. Now who would want to settle for this instead of Intel's seemingly overwhelming Atom platform? For starters, Snapdragon is ARM-based and comes with integrated support for 3G connectivity to keep you abreast with the latest happenings no matter where you are (subject to signal availability, of course). Qualcomm hopes to target both the netbook and Mobile Internet Device (MID) markets for its Snapdragon chipset which is up to the task of running either Windows Mobile or Linux operating systems. The netbook prototype shown here looks interesting, featuring a swiveling display that can turn it into an impromptu tablet, although it does lack a touchpad (since it is touchscreen capable already, we presume).
