Samsung To Release Android Phone In Q2 2009
Posted on Dec 19, 08 09:04 AM PDT

Samsung is on course to roll out its first Android-powered handset in the second quarter of next year for folks living in North America, and it will be interesting to see what Microsoft has up its sleeves in order to stem the triple pronged challenge with the iPhone and Symbian platform being the other chief rivals. This new Samsung Android handset will be available via Sprint Nextel and T-Mobile USA, and speculations abound that this will be a full touchscreen phone which will offer a plethora of Google applications including Google Maps, GTalk, Gmail and Google Search. You gotta love healthy competition as us consumers win out in the end with companies trying their best to outdo each other for our benefit (and that of their pockets).
