Sony Solar Desk Lamp
Posted on Dec 11, 08 07:47 AM PDT

Now here's a solar-powered device that's easy on the eye - the Sony desk lamp that comes with dye-sensitized solar cells. This Hana-Akari fixture is built from panels that take after the photosynthesis process, making it able to stash away energy in a low-cost, thin membrane that won't hurt the pockets when it comes to the manufacturing process. There is no word on availability for this eco-friendly Sony product, although we would love to see it hit retail shelves pretty soon. After all, something that looks so good without adding to your monthly power bill? We'll take the entire carton, thank you very much.
