Sony Wants To Increase Prices In Europe
Posted on Dec 17, 08 07:52 PM PDT

As though there isn't enough bad news circulating around already, word has it that Sony will be raising prices in Europe with the main reason that it needs to recoup some of its foreign-exchange losses after the yen appreciated by over 25% against the euro since July. A stronger yen is a big no-no since it will eat into overseas revenue when brought back as yen, and it remains to be seen just how consumers will react. We guess they wouldn't really mind, after all they'd buy a product just because the product is good (with brand loyalty a factor as well), and seeing governments throughout the world throw citizens' money into financial black holes to bail out ailing companies lessens to pain to know we're helping keep our favorite company afloat by purchasing their products at an increased price.
