Altec Lansing Expressionist ULTRA

[CES 2009] Ultra is an adjective often used to describe the ultimate, and the Expressionist ULTRA from Altec Lansing is one powerful beast. Don't be fooled by its rather diminutive exterior, as the tubthumping audio that comes out of it can get pretty loud considering its size. You get the following with each $199.95 purchase :-

• 5 discrete channels of sound
• 3" midrange driver and 1" neodymium tweeter
• 6.5" front-firing, long-throw woofer
• Fingertip control pod for volume, treble and bass levels
• Aux-in jack with RCA adapter

I stood in front of the Expressionist ULTRA while the PR person cranked the volume up - each punch that the Incredible Hulk made (the video was being shown as part of a demo) resulted in a strong burst of wind from the front-firing subwoofer, so you might think about where you want to place this without having those louder moments being a nuinsance.
