Apple To Offer Premium Games In App Store
Posted on Jan 29, 09 07:11 PM PDT

Apple has plans to make even more money from its huge fanbase by introducing premium games in its App Store, and these titles will retail for $19.99 thereabouts once they meet a new set of stringent requirements for quality and value set forth by Apple. Hopefully these will not be the equivalent of shovelware found on the DS platform that has cheap titles going for a similar price point. We're interested to see what are the types of titles that will be released. Which game genres work best for the iPhone/iPod touch's interface? Hopefully not only big developers like EA, Gameloft, Hudson and Sega will contribute to the premium game segment but smaller development firms as well.
