Energy Super Ring Wind Farm For European Oil Independence?
Posted on Jan 16, 09 09:43 AM PDT

The Office of Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) has been working on an offshore wind farm concept nicknamed Energy Super Ring that would use the north sea winds to generate as much as 13400TWh, which is a bit more than the 11300TWh currently generated by oil coming from the Persian Gulf.
We're not sure if it makes business sense, if oil is high enough, it might - but we have to admit that they know how to sell the project. Cool name. More info here
