FlatMii Offers Plug-and-Play Wii ISO Emulation
Posted on Jan 1, 09 07:49 AM PDT
No matter how stringent Nintendo is in their efforts to combat piracy, they won't win the war 100%. Case in point - the FlatMii team has recently announced a new modification product that hooks up to the Wii's DVD flex cable and motherboard in order to emulate ISO files courtesy of software running on a computer that is hooked up to the device via USB. This means you can kiss goodbye to previous problems such as newest drive chipsets including EPOXY or D3, Dre's or long and noisy disc loadings. Your Wii can even be used without a Wii DVD drive, since it is not required for FlatMii use. We wonder how the boffins at Nintendo will view this development, and what their response will be like.
