HTC S743 To Be Out In Q1 2009

[CES 2009] HTC has rolled out its latest slider smartphone that does it sideways - the S743. This weirdly named phone aims to bring both style and power, but it is disappointing to see an alphanumeric keypad on the front when you've already got a full QWERTY keyboard when fully opened. Why not turn the display into a full touchscreen and get rid of the alphanumeric keypad instead? I suppose they already have a similar design in the past, but that's beside the point. Other features on the HTC S743 ought not to disappoint as they include :-
- 12-key keypad design
- Full slide-out QWERTY keyboard
- Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system
- Supports HSDPA (850/1900MHz) networks
- 2.4" QVGA display
- Microsoft Exchange support
