Posted on Jan 5, 09 10:04 AM PDT

Iomega has just launched the Home Media Network Hard Drive, a small network attached storage that is designed to merge your storage in a single location that will serve as a repository for your media files, but also a backup place for files originating from computer throughout the house/small office. This NAS can stream multimedia content to DLNA devices (PlayStation, Some TV and Set Top Boxes...) and can also be used as an iTunes server. Backups are performed with Retrospect, a known software from Iomega's parent company EMC (a storage mammoth).
As a bonus, the Iomega Home Media Network Hard Drive can also serve as a USB printer server, thanks to its USB port. It is introduced at Macworld at $160 and $230 (500GB/1TB)
