Jamstykk For A Portable Guitar Experience

[CES 2009] The title didn't really come out right since guitars are portable, never mind the fact that they can get pretty heavy if you're going to lug it around the whole day long. With the explosion of Guitar Hero and Rock Band games, there are more guitar controller peripherals around than ever, so it can get pretty hard trying to differentiate yourself with the competition. The Jamstykk has a totally different form factor and won't aim for crowds who want something as authentic as possible, instead, they will focus on portability. As you can see in the photo above, the Jamstykk can slide inside like an accordion to make it more compact than ever, especially if you're going to tote it around your friends' house for a Rock Band tour or something. It is compatible with the PS2, PS3 and Nintendo Wii, although it is strange that there is no mention of the Xbox 360. The Jamstykk will ship this week, although retail price has been set between $30 and $45.
