Lowrance Unveils Trio Of GPS Devices

Lowrance, a name often associated with GPS devices, steps into the limelight after remaining in the background for quite some time with three more handheld GPS devices - the Lorance Outback, Lowrance Safari and Lowrance Sierra. All three are from the Lowrance Endura line, which pretty much goes to say that you'll need to give it some rather harsh treatment before they actually break down in use. They will all be released this May, and the basic Lowrance Outback will come with a 2.7" touchscreen display, basemap and a microSD memory card slot. As for the Lowrance Safari, that model features all the above mentioned including a barometric altimeter. Last but not least is the Lowrance Sierra that boasts a 3D electronic compass as well as street maps from NAVTEQ in addition to what was already disclosed in the previous two models. The Outback, Safari and Sierra will retail for $229, $385 and $550, respectively.
