Marantz BD8002 Blu-ray Player

Marantz has just released its flagship Blu-ray player known as the BD8002, and touts it to be the "ultimate-quality, reference standard High Definition source component". No idea on whether we want to test out that claim by forking out £1,799 for it, as it features the following :-
- Full HD resolution at 1080p
- 24 frames per second
- Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio decoding
- DVD upscaling
- HDMI 1.3a
- 12-bit/297MHz video chipset
- 10-bit Silicon Optix Realta processor
- SD memory card slot
- Supports VCDs, SVCDs, MP3s, WMA and DivX video files, display JPEG images
