Gearlog has shot a cool video of the Panasonic aufo-focus (continuous focus would be more accurate) demo. Most cameras have a few points of focus and try to “guess” what your subject is. With this new Panasonic firmware, you can tap once on the screen to show what you want to focus on and the embedded software will continuously track the subject and keep it in focus. Now you can focus your attention on filming, rather than trying to keep the subject in focus – in theory anyway.
