Real Virtual Skater Project

The advent of the Wii has led to more realistic gaming peripherals in the world of home consoles, and this has inspired Rafael Mizrahi to come up with the Real Virtual Skater project. He has turned your everyday skateboard into a game controller which can be played with Tony Hawk Pro Skater. The Wiimote is used on the deck to capture accelerometer data, sending it over to a software on a computer via Bluetooth. The software will then relay emulated keystrokes to the game after analyzing your movement on the deck. Pretty slick, don't you think? At least it beats waggle controls when it comes to in-game realism.
