VIA Dual Core Nano 3000 Processor In The Works
Posted on Jan 2, 09 01:28 PM PDT

VIA is currently working on an extremely low power dual-core Nano 3000 processor that aims to see it compete against Intel's Atom processor. This is good for the market, since it competition tends to bring out the best in one another and we certainly don't like to see a monopoly of things by just one company. The dual-core Nano 3000 will probably debut sometime later this year or early next year, which might be too late to the game to introduce a paradigm shift to the industry though. There is a possibility that VIA might use Fujitsu's 45-nanometer or TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) 40-nanometer manufacturing process.
