White House E-mail Out For 8 Hours
Posted on Jan 28, 09 11:33 AM PDT

Not exactly the best way to kick off a new administration, but the e-mail service at the White House was crippled for eight hours due to a server outage earlier this Monday. This forced White House aides too rely on cell phones or face-to-face communications instead of using their brand new, official government e-mail addresses. Press Secretary Robert Gibbs even had to issue an apology in a formal press conference for the administration's inadequacy in communication. Guess Murphy's Law is still alive and kicking, although something like this should not have happened in the first place. Then again, there are many "impossible" things that have come to pass in the past, so perhaps this is another anomaly in the time-space continuum.
